Color for the
AI-native era.
kuler.ai is a free, community-driven color palette library built specifically for designers and developers working with AI coding tools. We make it dead simple to get beautiful, consistent color into your projects — and keep it there.
The problem we solve
AI coding tools are transforming how software gets built. But they share a common blind spot: color. When you spin up a new project in Cursor, Windsurf, or Bolt, the AI has no idea what your visual identity looks like. It reaches for generic defaults, and the result is usually a mess of mismatched blues and grays.
The fix is giving the AI explicit color context — a clear set of named color values it can reference consistently. kuler.ai makes this effortless: browse palettes, pick one you love, and download a ready-made rules file for your exact tool.

Perceptually uniform
Two colors at the same OKLCH lightness value actually look equally bright to the human eye — unlike HSL or RGB, where yellow and blue at identical values look completely different.
No muddy midpoints
Gradients and scales generated in OKLCH avoid the grey, desaturated midpoints that plague RGB and HSL interpolations. Every step stays vibrant.
Native CSS support
OKLCH is a W3C standard supported in all modern browsers since 2023. You can use it directly in CSS: oklch(0.6 0.15 240). No tooling required.
What we believe
Free forever.
Every palette, every export, every tool — free. No sign-in required to browse or download. Color should be universally accessible.
Community over curation.
The best palettes come from real designers solving real problems. We're building a library where creators can share what they've made, and builders can find what they need.
Color science matters.
We don't pick colors by eye and call it done. Our tools use OKLCH-based math to generate harmonies, scales, and gradients that hold up under scrutiny.
Meet people where they work.
Different teams, different tools. We export for every major AI coding platform, CSS frameworks, and design tokens — so you get value in your existing workflow, not a new one.
